only today. it was fine the day before. i cant even reset it.

She ran her fingers through his hair. She could lose her mind staring into his face, into his eyes. They were a dark brown, with flecks of green scattered throughout. Lying on the couch with him, his body pressed against her, keeping her warm. She wanted to freeze this moment in time. Remember his feel, his smell, his warmth. She memorized the lines in his face, the creases and the scars. She memorized the air in the room, the sound of the television, the lighting, the FEEL. Everything felt more real in that moment. Every touch was magnified. Every sense was working overtime. His eyes closed as her fingers continued in their rhythmic pattern through his hair, down his neck and back up. A moment so simple and yet it was becoming so much. Her sight was suddenly glazed and tears were falling from her eyes down her cheeks. They fell on his shoulder and sunk into his t-shirt. She moved her face down to his cheek and planted her lips against his skin. Warm, smooth, but as she moved down to his lips she could feel the stubble underneath. She found his lips, her eyes now closing to let her other senses take over. She knew she would lose him someday, but at that moment, he was there, with her, and it was all that she needed.
